Taznakht

The carpets from the regions surrounding Taznakht can be described as being silky soft, made from shiny wool and cloth-like to the touch. Their loose structure derives from the high number of well-placed wefts, integrated between the rows of knots. Because of these many wefts the knots lie flat. The loose structure as well as the flat-lying knots allow for the mostly yellow base weave to shine through. Some tribes use this effect as added artistic element. The wrap threads are equally finely twined.
