A very old and rare carpet from the region of Taznakht in southern Morocco. I bought this beautifully silky and finely woven rug at an auction at the carpet market. The region of Taznakht is known for its unique carpet tradition. There it takes up to 8 months to weave a single carpet. This is due to the very fine weaving technique, which is very important, in addition to the quality of the wool. Another aspect that makes Taznakht rugs the finest is the way the wool is washed to become a very silky and shiny wool.
