This carpet, formerly known as Glaoua, is characterized by variation and technical finesse: light/gray woven bands contrast with strips. Three horizontal bars and three vertical columns of motifs, in addition to the border, are knotted. The rows of knots are spaced out because the intermediate weft threads are numerous, so that each knot becomes fully visible and the lying strands fully unfold their silky sheen. The knotted patterns are all feminine symbols.
